Research carried out by Dexion suggests that New Zealand businesses have been looking for a storage and materials handing supplier that can supply the gamut of solutions that the market now requires - from basic storage to fully automated systems and everything in between.
That's why in September 2006, Dexion in Australia acquired Capital Racking Systems. Then in January 2007, long time New Zealand licensee, Hamilton Perry Industries was also acquired. The two businesses form the nucleus for a new entity - Dexion New Zealand. The vision for the new business is to introduce Dexion's respected brand of advanced storage and materials handling solutions to New Zealand businesses.
Dexion New Zealand has operations in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin and new storage products from an integrated range from across the region will shortly be introduced. Initially, 'hand-loaded' storage equipment from the respected Compactus and Ultima ranges will be launched to complement the strong stable of existing 'pallet' storage equipment. Customers can also rest assured that Dexion New Zealand will continue to supply additional parts for existing Hamilton Perry Industries and Capital Racking Systems installations.
In addition to the new storage products, New Zealand customers will benefit from the experience and knowledge that Dexion has gained from around the world in delivering integrated storage and materials handling systems. A business model based on partnering sees Dexion teaming with customers to solve problems and teaming with other companies to provide an integrated solution. Providing solutions in this way means Dexion takes responsibility for the customisation, implementation, integration of technology and equipment, system optimisation and after-sales service.
