RFID
RFID is a means of identifying an object by using RFID tags. The advantage of RFID is that it allows many objects within a group to be uniquely identified. For example, a pallet of like products with RFID tags can be read, individually identified and verified all in just one pass.
RFID is particularly suited to track and trace applications as it offers a finer level of detail in tracking products moving through the supply chain and because information can be captured at many different points with little or no human intervention. The result is that RFID can deliver greater productivity, accuracy and better inventory management. We work with customers to ensure RFID applications within a DC integrate seamlessly with their broader supply chain. We are also business alliance partners of GS1 Australia, the local chapter of the global body that is responsible for RFID standards and administering the world-wide system of identification of products, assets and locations.
